As I get older (and wiser...and smarter...and crazier! HAHA), I always feel a sense of renewal associated the beginning of a new year. It was early last January that I found myself sitting on my couch, staring at my computer screen, having thoughts about how I wanted life to be. Here I am again, except it is still December and I am laying in bed next to my husband who is probably going to tell me to shove the computer somewhere unpleasant because it is keeping him awake. He has to leave for work at 5am. Sorry husband.
I've revived this blog, removing all of what I had written in the past. Life has changed and so has the idea of what I want this blog to be. On occasion, you may see a revival of a recipe or two, but for the most part, I intend to keep these posts short and sweet. It will be my feeble attempt at staying committed to this blog and keeping you updated on our crazy, happy household. Long gone are the days when I could spend an evening on my couch, drinking many alcoholic beverages and blogging about my philosophical views of the world. Now my days are spent working, chasing my crazy baby, throwing a scattered meal on the table, satisfying my Pinterest and Facebook addictions, and passing out on the couch at the end of the day, usually while waiting for laundry to finish. It's hard but someone has to do it :P
It's December 27th...5 days before it is time to "renew" a healthy lifestyle. In the meantime, I will continue to stuff my face with every piece of chocolate in this house. Fortunately (unfortunately?) there is still lots! I apologize in advance for all of the complaining you will have to listen to about my jeans not fitting, and the misery I call "dieting" that the family will be subjected to in the new year. Gotta run and enjoy the chocolate while it lasts!
Happy Holidays! Stay tuned :)
